Co-Founder and CEO
Chad Joshi is a seasoned executive who specializes in building technology companies through collaboration and strategic partnerships. He has led privately-held and venture-backed companies from pre-revenue through market and product development to significant revenues. Dr. Joshi is responsible for overall corporate strategy. He negotiated and leveraged strategic investments from lubricant and feedstock suppliers to launch Advonex and build the company into an award-winning innovator in the bio-based chemicals with ingredients that exceed the performance characteristics of their petroleum-based counterparts. The company is currently building a pilot plant to meet the market demands for renewable hydrocarbons for automotive and industrial lubricants, cosmetics, personal care and other markets.
Before Advonex, he served in interim operating positions with Owl Power Co. and Resolute Marine Energy to assist them with business strategy, development and fundraising. Previously, Chad founded Energen, a motion control solutions company which sold its image stabilization technology to Panavision Federal Systems. Chad was also an early hire at American Superconductor Corp. where he was instrumental in the development and execution of their technology strategy. Chad holds a Sc.D. from MIT and has over 60 patents and peer-reviewed publications to his credit.
Business Development Director
Jyoti Vardhan is an enterprising business development professional having belief in the concept of customer lifetime value. He is adroit at building symbiotic and sustainable business relationships with customers. He has a record of achieving targets & delivering outstanding performance on a consistent basis. He is adept at managing sensitive and confidential projects from product validation, through new product development and product launch.
Prior to joining Advonex, as a key account and business development manager at Total Oil India, he handled automotive OEM market leaders as key accounts. His role was instrumental in diversifying Total’s OEM business in two-wheeler segment. Jyoti holds MBA from University of Missouri-Columbia in addition to a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from National Institute of Technology -Silchar.
Dzmitry Malevich is responsible for guiding process development at Advonex International. He has been instrumental in the development of our electrochemical technologies to synthesize bio-based hydrocarbons. Before joining Advonex, he worked at Queen’s-RMC Fuel Cell Research Centre in Kingston, carrying out research on electrochemical catalysts for low-temperature fuel cells.
Dzmitry also worked at the Electrochemical Technology Centre at the University of Guelph. Before that, Dzmitry held a fellowship from the Royal Society and worked at the University of Southampton, where he was an Academic Visitor at the Southampton Electrochemistry Group.
Dzmitry is a co-inventor on the Advonex patents and obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Belarusian State University in Minsk and held a faculty position at the Belarusian State Technological University.
