How Advonex International is Making the Global Bioeconomy Mainstream
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Brockville, ON – Chad Joshi, President and CEO of Advonex International will be presenting at the 3-day Scaling Up Conference, Making The Global Bioeconomy Mainstream, on November 27-29, 2017 at the Fairmont Château Laurier in Ottawa, Ontario. The conference will focus on Canada’s opportunity to lead the transition from fossil-based to a renewable, bio-based economy. Canadian companies are innovators in the bio-economy. However, scaling technology to commercial production requires significant investment in equipment, human resources, market development and regulatory issues.
The conference targets government, industry, and environmental groups with topics that include: government’s role in ensuring Canadian competitiveness with the rest of the world; industry challenges in securing financing and the decision-making process relating to site selection; and tools to monitor GHG emissions to meet Canada’s obligations under the Paris Climate Agreement. Confirmed speakers include representatives from Canadian Wind Energy Association, Sustainable Development Technology Canada, Ministry of Environment and many others.
“Canada is at the forefront of the North American effort to combat climate change,” said Chad Joshi. “Advonex has developed renewable lubricants and other products derived from plant oils that improve fuel economy in transportation leading to GHG emissions reductions of several million tonnes annually.”
