Silicone oils are stable oils available in a wide range of viscosities and provide softness and shine to hair care products and luxurious texture to skin care preparations.  Their low surface tension makes for excellent spreadability.

However, in recent years, there has been concern that the European Union has classified certain siloxanes (a subset of silicone oils) to be hormone disruptors.  This has caused major personal care companies to search for alternatives.  Entrada®-DF is ready for the challenge.  DF is an isoalkane that can be produced to meet the volatility needs of applications such as hair spray or foundation and yet delivers a sensory experience similar to siloxanes.
